Rena Leizerman
LawyerRena M. Leizerman concentrates her practice in the area of serious personal injury and wrongful death involving truck accidents, with experience in trial and appellate advocacy. Rena is also a Lecturer of Law at the University of Toledo College of Law, where she teaches a doctrinal course in Motor Vehicle Collisions law and practice. Prior to joining Leizerman & Associates, Rena practiced law at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP for eight years. She also served as a law clerk for Hon. Mark Filip of the United States District Court of the Northern District of Illinois. Rena graduated from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri at the top of her class. During her tenure at Washington University, she was elected to the Order of the Coif, served on the executive board of the school's law review, and was a member of a national moot court team. Rena publishes articles and presents to nationwide audiences on trucking broker liability, federal motor carrier insurance requirements and other critical issues. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the Amicus Committee and Broker Liability Committee for the AAJ Interstate Trucking Litigation Group and heads the Amicus Committee for hte Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. In addition, she is a board member of the National Board of Trial Advocates and National Board of Truck Accident Attorneys.
